Slow Food O’ahu Annual Meeting

Please join Slow Food O’ahu for our annual meeting and potluck on Sunday January 19, 2020 from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. at da Shop in Kaimuki. We’re poised to bring you another year of exciting food and drink events. Come break bread with fellow members, discover their culinary talents and have some stimulating discussions about all things food.

This year we are pleased to introduce Jess Rohr from Forage Hawai’i as our guest speaker. Jess was born in Hawai’–raised between Hawai’i and Colorado. She is a graduate of Kaiser High School and studied nutrition and business at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. For the past fifteen years she has enthusiastically nurtured relationships with local sources of meat that has culminated in opening Forage Hawai’i. Jess has been a member of Slow Food O’ahu and is eager to share her food journey with us.

The annual meeting will be hosted by da Shop, a unique book store in Kaimuki at 3565 Harding Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96816. Please peruse the wide selection of reading material and other items after the meeting. Your purchase will provide knowledge and reading pleasure to you and support a local business.There is free parking across the street, but please carpool whenever possible.

Please be sure to bring your own wares (plate, cup, silverware) to the event. Da Shop and Slow Food O’ahu support a low to no plastic use practice.
