Join Slow Food O’ahu for our annual meeting on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Kamuki Superette. This year we will gather for a pot luck, and share in food and conversation before a special presentation by Kaiulani Odam from Kokua Kalihi Valley (KKV). She will speak about her organization’s work in food sovereignty and its connection to social justice here in Hawaii, as well the work that KKV has been doing to build the connection between food and health for the community.
All are welcome, and encouraged to come learn more about the projects on our radar for 2019, as well as give us your input as to the role we might continue to play in our work for the Slow Food community. Please bring a dish to share, and join us for this annual gathering. Also, please bring your own cutlery for eating. BYOB as well.
